In a regular season of the First Division in which they have set several records, the Skorpions are looking for the last, great result that has the shape of the perfect season. On Sunday, against Rhinos Milano who are becoming a constant for the last round of the championship, as they were last year too, Varese wants to make history by scoring their eighth consecutive victory to continue the exciting ride. Winning would not only make sense for the statistics, but would represent the first closing of the circle of a project that began with the creation of a highly competitive roster and with the hiring of the Griffin brothers, hitherto star performers in the grey-red attack. On the horizon is the semi-final in mid-June, opponents to be chosen between Parma and Legnano with the thought of a possible derby, decisive for access to the Italian Bowl, which piques the fans' imagination quite a bit. Considering the excellent performance offered by various back ups in the match against Bologna, it is likely that on Sunday coach Holt will want to field some of the many talents who are champing at the bit behind the starters, to allow him to create further feeling with the pitch. For the rest, Varese relies on its own certainties which pass from the axis formed by Ryan and Maclaine Griffin and the solidity of the lines to reach receivers and running backs and a defense that has never betrayed expectations. Obviously, considering the importance of the event and the good weather conditions, the public for special occasions is expected in the Ossola stands.
